just found out about this local band in the NY/NJ area called “Wounded Buffalo Theory”….and they are definitely a hidden gem in the mess of shitty local music.
we wanted to give them a shout here, and make sure you guys give them a listen because they are really doing some awesome things musically. interesting mix of progressive rock, indie and pop…addicting guitar riffs and vocal melodies….its magic!
literally just hit up their website and start listening. their music player is at the bottom right of their page: Click Here
they also have some free live show downloads and you can buy all their albums through their website. do it! they are cool and junk.
Their next gig is 11/27/09 at The Meatlocker in Montclair, NJ. Here’s a vid of the venue (the place is NUTS):
if we advance to round 4, the final round of the battle…we get a shot at $5000 buckaroos!!!! this prize would enable us to finally create some excellent quality music & merchandise for all your awesome ASBPK fanzoids.

if 50 of you awesome guys & gals show up to this gig (the minimum required to play) we really don’t see how we couldn’t advance. feel good about life and support local music!
we were talking to our buddies Fikus the other day, and they were nice enough to invite us to play at an EXCELLENT live music venue in Garwood, NJ called Crossroads.
Crossroads hosts live music every night of the week, and just recently had folk legend Richie Havens (crazy black dude from woodstock) perform there!
from what we’ve been told, Crossroads has a great intimate atmosphere, great food and decent drink specials.
Here is a short review of the place from their website:
“The Crossroads’ basic concept [is to] serve high quality food that’s well prepared, offer a hugh selection of good beer and martinis, while providing first rate entertainment of all musical tastes.” “We’ve come to know Ronnie, the owner’s mom, who is the best server this side of the Hudson…” “However [this article] does not let you hear what was played [musically]. Trust me, it is absolutely incredible!” “There’s no cover charge, no minumum. If you like great food and live music, you need to spend a Tuesday night in Garwood.”

we are currently seeking new booking agents, and if we are able to bring a lot of you guys to this show we will be able to book more shows at great venues like this one.
A.S.B.P.K. is a funky rap/rock quintet from North Jersey. We creatively infuse poetic hip-hop style lyrics with powerful jam/classic rock instrumentals.
While we don't write music to fatten our wallets, we still have to pay $$ to get you good quality tracks & merchandise. Any donations, even a measly dollar, will do wonders for a DIY band like us.
