5 HOURS OF FREE RECORDING TIME!

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

A few months back, 3/5 of A.S.B.P.K. participated a “battle of the bands” type thing at Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ.

We didn’t win, but turns out we still received 5 hours of FREE studio recording time. Kick ass!

For the next few weeks, we will be practicing diligently to that dreadful metronome and going in to the studio on Jan. 9 to do some recording.

We plan on tracking 3-5 songs depending on how effectively we can get the shit tracked. Hopefully, VERY effectively. We have a wealth of new material, and can’t wait to get some of it down on tape for you all to enjoy.

No shows for the next few weeks (i know, so depressing), but we will keep you updated throughout the practicing/recording process with all sorts of cool junk (vids, funny tweets, pictures, the works).

Sit tight…..new A.S.B.P.K. tunes are comin your way!

Thanks,

Ant, Matt C, Chris B, Tatz & Joe

A Love Letter to Chris’ ENGL202D Class

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

The majority of Chris’ ENGL202D class at Penn State subscribed to our mailing list tonight, so we wanted to give them all a shout out and thank them for being awesome. They all helped out creating promo materials for us to use in the future, and all got free digital copies of our EP, “Schematics Asthmatics.”

We really appreciate the class taking an interest in our music. We do plan on invading the State College music scene this coming Spring, so be ready to party hard!

Shout outs to:

Artist Joey Irizarry has some “MadSketchin” Skills

ep1cover_frontthumb

Okay, so a few months ago we were brainstorming different ways to obtain some free/cheap cover art for our first EP that we are putting out at the end of this summer (date TBA). Chris, our guitarist, got the brilliant idea to search the web for some talented people. He recalled a certain website called “deviantART” that allows artists to post their work, and immediately started searching through tons of cover art to find some artists that we liked.

SO we stumbled upon Joey Irizarry, aka the “MadSketcher.” He is an extremely creative person, let alone artist, that immediately answered our desperate e-mails and wanted to help. And according to his deviantART page his favorite music is the kind that transcends genres…which is WHAT WE DO.

We simply wanted to sing his praises and let you people know about his work, because in our opinion it is EXCELLENT! To view some of his stuff you can visit his deviantART page here: Click Here

Be Well,
